Xbox Games Showcase Announced for June 11th
Microsoft have announced their own Xbox Showcase which will be happening on June 11th. Previously it was reported thatMicrosoft wouldn’t be taking part in E3, but instead would have its own showcase around the time of the event.
As for what the showcase will feature, we already know thatStarfieldwill be getting its own dedicatedStarfield Direct. The news was shared earlier alongside therelease date announcement of September 6th. This is Bethesda’s next major RPG, and it will be released on Microsoft’s Xbox Series, PC and day one on Xbox Game Pass. As usual, there could be some surprises to be revealed.

What Could Be at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023?
Possible features could beThe Outer Worlds 2which has yet to have any gameplay or further details. It follows up the quirky space adventure title The Outer Worlds. The single-player RPG was praised for its story, narrative choice and overall humour. If you want to know what we thought of the game you can find it here inThe Outer Worlds Review: Immense Interstellar Fun.
Maybe we’ll finally see more of the favourable bug metroidvania follow-upHollow Knight: Silksong. The title did not make an appearance during last year’s major events. While not exclusive to the Xbox platform, it will be coming to Xbox Game Pass as a day-one release. This fan favourite would be great to see at the showcase. According to an official Xbox tweet thread in January, of Game Pass.

Another title we’re yet to see more of is the Fable reboot. Last seen during itsannouncement in 2020, which will be coming to Xbox Series X and PC. Xbox’s Head Phil Spencer has said thetitle is in “amazing” handsunder Playground Games, but we’d love to see more of the humour fantasy title.
Maybe we’ll get to see more of the fantasy RPGAvowedheaded up by developer Obsidian. The game which is set in the Pillars of the Eternity universe turned heads when it was revealed in 2020 as first-person RPG. However, other details have been thin on the ground. Whether this one is ready to be revealed is too soon to say, but an update on its progress would be interesting. Rumours it was in a fullyplayable alpha state gave hope in 2021, but that could mean we’re still far off from seeing gameplay.
Any of these would be welcomed for the showcase but what do you want to see more of? Let us know in the comments below.
