Grow a Garden recently had one of its largest updates ever.The Prehistoric Event Updatesaw brand new content come our way. This includes new crops and pets. The pets in this event are mostly Dino-themed. The rarest pet introduced in the event is the T-Rex, which is Divine Tier (the highest tier).

Grow a Garden T-Rex Passive Ability Explained

The T-Rex is a Divine Tier pet in Grow a Garden. The Divine tier is usually associated with the rarest crops or pets. T-Rex’s Passive ability is called Apex Predator. Every 17-20 minutes, it consumes the most valuable mutation from a fruit in your garden, removes it from that fruit, and spreads it to 3-4 other random fruits (increasing with the pet’s age, up to 10 crops).

For example, if a fruit has a high-value mutation like Aurora (90x value) or Amber (10x value), the T-Rex will transfer it to other crops, boosting your garden’s overall value. This makes it ideal for stacking rare mutations like Disco, Voidtouched, or Molten across crops like Bone Blossom for high profits.
