Some Zeds inKilling Floor 3don’t care about your skill level or how long you’ve been playing; they just want you dead. So the class you choose can determine if you’ll walk out of a fight or end up in pieces. You need a class that matches how you like to play, whether that’s dealing heavy damage up close, wiping out crowds before they close in, or keeping your squad alive when the pressure hits.
Each class has its own strengths, but a few stand out for their consistency and ability to carry you solo or in a team through the hardest fights. By the end, you’ll know which classes give you the best shot at surviving every wave.

Specialist Character - Devlin
Devlin is the specialist who brings fire to the fight. If you like playing aggressively and controlling space with damage-over-time effects, this class is for you. Firebug’s kit is built around weapons and skills that set enemies ablaze and keep pressure on groups of Zeds rather than trying to kill everything instantly.
When you play Firebug alone, the class feels almost made for solo runs. Many of her skills boost personal survivability when you use flames correctly. For example, standing in burning ground that you created can heal you. In a team, Firebug still brings huge value but needs care. Flames will clear trash fast and ruin crowd formations, which helps teammates breathe, but careless fire can also aggro heavy Zeds or block walkways your squad wants to use.

Specialist Character - Obi
Obi’s role is simple but valuable. If you like keeping teammates alive, controlling the flow of a fight, and being the quiet reason a team pushes further than it should, Medic is your guy. Solo Medic play is the hardest for this class. Healing-focused skill trees give you less raw damage, so staying alive on your own is more demanding. You can still solo, but expect slower clear times.
In group fights, Obi is the reason a squad survives mistakes and wins extended fights. A skilled Medic controls the tempo of a fight by timing heals and managing resources. Teams with a reliable healer can attempt riskier moves and withstand long waves of attacks that would otherwise wipe them out.

Specialist Character - Foster
This class suits players who want the comfort of automatic rifles, steady handling, and a toolkit that fits most situations. If you take Commando solo, you get a reliable and predictable play session. The class is good at thinning out crowds quickly thanks to automatic fire, andsome perk skillsimprove ammo handling or rate-of-fire benefits.
However, because Commandos are generalists rather than specialists, they sometimes step on the toes of more focused roles. For example, if the team already has a Sharpshooter and an Engineer, the Commando’s broad skill set may be less critical than a dedicated support class.

Specialist Character - Nakata
Nakata is built for speed and precision. If you enjoy fast moves, melee skill, and being the person who dives into a mess and comes out with a sliver of health, Ninja fits you. His toolset centers on melee weapons like katanas and mobility tools such as grappling hook. Playing Ninja solo means you’ll rely on speed to close gaps, a good read on enemy animations to parry or dodge, and quick kills to avoid being swarmed.
As a Ninja you can take down medium and evenlarge Zedsfaster than many ranged classes because melee damage scales well with the right weapons and skills. But the risk in squads is that melee players need space to work, and without it they can be overwhelmed.

2Sharpshooter
Specialist Character - Luna
Luna is the long-range specialist. So you should pick her if you prefer to sit back, pick targets, and remove the biggest threats before they become a problem. Her weapons are snipers and precision rifles that deal large damage to weak spots.
In a team, Sharpshooter is often one of the best picks because removing atough boss’weak spot or a high-threat ZED quickly reduces the load on front-line players and changes the tempo of the round. To be really effective is as a Sharpshooter, coordinate with the team: call out targets, reserve shots for the biggest threats, and use cover to stay safe.
Specialist Character - Imran
Imran plays like the toolbox of the team. Engineers focus on shotguns and gadgets. Their weapons hit hard at short range and their gadgets provide area denial, crowd control, or defensive support. Going solo as an Engineer feels safe and steady. The shotguns available to him do big burst damage, which lets you chew through clots and gorefasts quickly. Add the gadget effects his skill tree offers, and you have ways to slow or stagger enemies while you finish them.
In a squad, the Engineer is often the backbone of defense. You hold choke points, repair or deploy gadgets that protect the team, and drop heavy damage when a large ZED shows up. Engineers also carry tools that help with map control like sonic gadgets and turrets.
