Starfieldis full of wonderfulglitchesandexploits, but one player has stumbled across a rather unique bug that “turned them into Jack Sparrow.”

Taking to the Starfield subreddit earlier today, Reddit userguiyom01shared a short clip of their character with a rather humorous and familiar running animation. The animation, which appears to have made this player’s character run like Pirates of the Caribbean’s Jack Sparrow, was caused by a bug, but the player says even if they tried, they don’t think they’d be able to reproduce it.

Starfield Players Mock Bethesda After Discovering Hilarious Error

“I don’t just corporations. Simple.”

For those unaware, Jack Sparrow is the protagonist from Disney’s Pirates of The Caribbean series, starring Johnny Depp. Sparrow’s iconic run has become well-known, and now it appears to have made its way into Starfield, as you can see in the clip below.

The player who experienced the bug says they were unaware of exactly how it occurred, but they believe it was due to using the boost pack at the exact moment of landing. It’s likely not a glitch that would be easy to replicate, making it one of the more unique bugs we’ve seen since Starfield’s release last September.

Although this is just one of Starifled’s many weird and wonderful bugs, it’s certainly not the most annoying one out there. Before 2023 came to a close, players began noticing that they had “pet rocks” attached to their ships at all times. Some even managed todrag the whole of New Atlantis into spacewith them. Bethesda intended to fix this annoying bug in its latest update, known as patch 1.8.88, but players quickly noticed thatthe issue was still present.

Thankfully, Bethesda says new updates and quality-of-life improvements are on the way. During anend-of-year update, the studio said that there would be a new update for Starfield roughly every 6 weeks, with the first set to arrive in February. Along with bug fixes and improvements, Bethesda says these updates will add new ways to travel, official mod support, city maps, and much more.
