There have been leaks and rumors about anew OnePlus tabletcoming soon for a few months. However, it was unclear if that tablet would be making its way to the US or not. Thanks to a newly uncovered FCC (Federal Communications Commission) filing, it seems OnePlus is indeed preparing to launch a new tablet in the US, but it might not be named what you think.
Initially, it was believed that the next OnePlus tablet would be called theOnePlus Pad 2 Proor the OnePlus Pad 3, but now, according toPhoneArena, it has been dubbed the OnePlus Pad 3R. The tablet has recently appeared at the FCC and islisted on its websitewith the model number OPD2408.
It’s rumored the OnePlus Pad 3R will be a rebranded version of theOppo Pad 4 Pro, which exclusively launched in China not long ago. If that’s the case, the OnePlus Pad 3R could become one of the most powerful Android tablets available in the US.

The last tablet OnePlus released in the US was theOnePlus Pad 2, a powerful mid-range tablet introduced last year, featuring a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. If the OnePlus Pad 3R shares the exact specifications as the Oppo Pad 4 Pro, it could emerge as a serious contender to the iPad Air and the iPad Pro.
The Oppo Pad 4 Pro features a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB of RAM, a 12,140mAh battery, and a 13.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2440 x 3392 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision support. Assuming the OnePlus Pad 3R has all of that, it would be an Android tablet that is very difficult to overlook compared to the iPad, especially if priced competitively.
The release date for the OnePlus Pad 3R remains unclear, but the FCC filing provides OnePlus fans with a glimmer of hope that it will be available in the US sometime this year. As the tablet is likely manufactured in China, the Trump Administration’srecent tariffscould cause delays or significantly impact its price. The OnePlus Pad 2 is currently priced at $550 in the US.
