The Boysprequel series keeps adding seasoned talent to its cast. ActorWill Hochmanrecently signed on to join Prime Video’s forthcoming franchise-expander,Vought Rising.TheBlue Bloodsalumwill be seen alongside series stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash in a show that Amazon ordered back in July 2024. Hochman’s role in the highly anticipated prequel is unknown at the moment, but that doesn’t mean people won’t speculate online. The series hasn’t even made its way to viewers' television screens yet, and it’s already gearing up to be a must-watch show for fans of the highly successfulBoysuniverse.
According toVariety, the show has been described as “a twisted murder mystery” set in the 1950s. Ackles will once againembody the role of Soldier Boy, whose character was introduced in thethird season ofThe Boys. Cash will also continue to portray Stormfront, aka Clara Vought, the wife of Frederick Vought and apparently the first successful Supe ever created. Additionally, Mason Dye is reportedly expected to appear in Season 5 ofThe Boysas Bombsight (another early Vought creation) and also inVought Rising. Production has yet to begin, but it should start later this year.

While Hochman awaits stepping into his new role, fans of the actor can always re-watch him in 21 episodes ofBlue Bloods,where he played Joe Hill, a member of the Brooklyn North Firearms Investigation Unit in the New York City Police Department. Hochman also had a role in the Apple+ TV seriesBeforeas Benjamin Walker, alongside Billy Crystal and Judith Light.

Paul Grellong is expected to beVought Rising’s showrunner and executive producer.Others involved in the production include Eric Kripke, Seth Rogan, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver of Point Grey Pictures, Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of Original Film, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr.

It’s ready to step on toes, execute jokes and scenes as dark as they are inappropriate, and this third season is the series at its best.” Theseries is expected to endwith its forthcoming fifth season. Although there’s no release date yet, filming is underway as the popular superhero series aims to go out with a bang.
