Hey, listen! The Legend of Zelda is well-represented in theSuper Smash Bros. Ultimatewith six characters and multiple stages showcasing the land of Hyrule.

Hailing from all manner of eras from the beloved Nintendo series, you’re able to play as the likes of Toon Link from The Windwaker to Breath of the Wild’s Hero of Time. Some of them are very similar to each other but have different traits that make them stand out for better or for worse. Here are all of the Legend of Zelda characters ranked from best to worst.

Ganondorf chokes Diddy Kong in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

6Ganondorf

He’s Actually Not that Great in Smash

While very powerful, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s Ganondorf is incredibly slow. Faster characters like Fox and Marth can take him out quickly with their rapid attacks. His main B attack, which is similar to Captain Falcon’s Falcon Punch is activated at a snail’s pace and can be countered easily. His recovery is also poor as it has a low amount of reach. After a poll was conducted, eSports groupLuminosityclassifies the villain as an E-rank on their Tier list next to Little Mac.

t says “66 panelists out of 90 [evaluated] the character, giving him the lowest score they gave anyone.” Some of the panelists included competitibe players, such as Tweek, Ryopei, and BeastModePaul among many others. Hopefully, players can find a way to put his great power to good use inSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Link in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The Worst Hero of Time

The worst version of the Hero of Time in the Super Smash Bros. series is Link. The Breath of the Wild version is an inferior version of his younger selves. He is slower than the other two with a bigger frame. His bombs need to be remotely used and timed precisely rather than exploding on their own. His arrows don’t flame up either, causing them to be weaker than Young Link’s. His down-B in the air is also slower, making him easier to dodge.

Similar to Ganondorf, he can use powerful attacks with the strikes of the Master Sword, but he is less likely to catch up to faster characters like Fox and Sonic than other Zelda characters. Good luck if you attempt to represent this blonde hero on the battlefield.

Zelda in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Link and Young Link can block incoming projectiles with their shield if they stand up straight and don’t move.

Not a Damsel in Distress

Princess Zelda can hold her own against the likes of Bowser, Ganondorf, and Pit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Based on herA Link Between Worldsdesign, she can take down foes with her fireball ability. She can create knights to protect her against harm that rush towards her opponents.

She can reflect annoying projectiles as well with her crystal move. Her Final Smash is also wicked as she traps enemies in a Triforce and makes them vanish from reality. Neat! She can get knocked out pretty easily however, and her movement can be outmatched by other Zelda characters like Sheik.

10 Best Super Smash Bros. Stages

Here are 10 of the best Super Smash Bros. stages throughout gaming history.

The Hero of Kokiri Forest

The Ocarina of Time’s Young Link can be a hassle to deal with in combat within Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He is quick on his feet and has a great neutral A air attack that can push back foes on pursuit. His flame arrows dish out a decent amount of damage and can stun enemies for a second or two. His down-A from the air can spike foes with his Kokiri Sword and he can bounce twice.

He can use his grappling hook to get back onto the stage quickly. His up special in the air can also finish off foes as he spins his weapon and brings calamity to those against him. The bombs also explode on impact, unlike BOTW’s Link. He’s a pipsqueak, but don’t let his appearance fool you. He can take you down just like that.

Not a Transformation Anymore

Sheik was originally a transformation for Zelda but has now become her own character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. As a ninja, she can move across a stage in top-speed. She also has some deadly combos she can dish out in the air that can take out her opponents in seconds flat. Her needles can fly out in a matter of seconds and can cause serious damage.

Additionally, her jab can be super quick, making her tough to deal with in regular situations. With the right player, she can be a menace. Her recovery isn’t the best, however. However, this Up B special can cause a lot of damage if you position it just right; it’s hard to pull off, on the other hand, so maybe practice this first before heading into battle online.

He’s No Joke

Toon Linkis the best Zelda character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He is incredibly agile on screen and has a good amount of damage behind his attacks, despite his small frame. While his spike attack from the air doesn’t bounce on foes, it can be a crushing attack for anyone who is under it. His neutral A in the air can be a great tool for edgeguarding.Luminosityclasses him as an A- character, making him the best character from the land of Hyrule. He is also heavier than Young Link, making him better than his Ocarina of Time counterpart. The bombs also explode on impact and don’t need to be remotely activated like Link. The up tilt A attack can also be effective at getting opponents in the air quickly.

Both Young Link and Toon Link use the best Final Smash from the Zelda characters. They strike a combo of blows with their sword in elaborate fashion before launching them to the left or the right. This causes a lot of damage and can send foes like Ryu and Pac-Man flying.

Hopefully, more The Legend of Zelda characters appear in future Super Smash Bros. entries. A few people have asked forTingleto join the game as a playable character. He has previously been an Assist Trophy. Others also wantWaluigi, who has been a key Super Mario character over the years, mainly in Sports and Party titles.
