Even thoughThe Batmanhad Riddler as the main villain, the infamous Joker appeared at the end of the movie, withEternals’Barry Keoghanplaying the Clown Prince of Crime.
Now that Matt Reeves has confirmed that the awaited sequel is in active development, with the director already working on the script, the fans are hoping to see Keoghan return as Batman’s nemesis to finally have Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne facing the most popular and ruthless villain in the franchise.

While speaking with theHappy Sad Confused Podcast, Barry has shown his interest in returning as the villain and anticipated a few things he has been preparing in case he’s called to play the character again:
“Obviously I’d love another crack. I’ve got a ton of back work done on him. If an opportunity does arise but, you know, they make the call, and I’ve got to respect that. I’ve got a few other things I’d love to bring. Actually, I have this little half-Moleskin book I’ve written a lot in already and so yeah, I want to show people what that is.”
By his short participation in the movie, fans have been speculating that Keoghan’s version of the Joker could be similar to theDeath of the Familyarc, which has the character’s face cut off and reattached, further disfiguring the criminal clown left with green hair, bleached white skin, and a permanent rictus grin after falling into a vat of acidic chemicals.
