The duo had worked together in the 2012 film,Les Miserableswhich was a critically successful movie grossing over $442million worldwide. The film was nominated for 8 Academy Awards and won three including the Best Actress Award which was bagged byAnne Hathaway.
Even, Hugh Jackman who starred opposite the former also got nominated for his first Oscar nomination in the Best Actor category. The duo has worked extremely hard on their project which she shared while presenting him with an honor at the Hollywood Film Awards in 2018.

The harsh filming conditions affected them a lot as the actress recalled that the actor was not in his best condition once.

The Devil Wears Pradaactress got concerned about her co-star and asked him,“Are you okay man?”She recalled his condition as she shared,
“Hugh drew in a ragged, powerful breath, locked his gaze on mine and said through gritted teeth, ‘Annie, it’s a lot.’ “
She eventually saw the “nicest guy in Hollywood”losing his“sh-t.”She further added,
“That’s it, that’s the worst behavior I have seen from Hugh Jackman.”
She commented that the“lowest”she ever heard him stating something was the statement,“It’s a lot.”The duo’s chemistry was widely acclaimed in the film. Meanwhile, Jackman is going to reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool 3 film which is going to release on November 8. 2024.
