If there’s one thing that Ubisoft does well with their multitude of franchises, it’s creating dense environments filled with exploration. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is no different, as the vast world the studio has created is ripe for adventure. Whether it’s the various unique enemies you’ll come across on your adventures or investigating reportedYokaiin the area, there feels like an overwhelming amount of content to dig your teeth into.
One such activity is participating in the numerous temples and shrines. Japan is a country of tradition and religion, at least back in the 1500s when Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place. If you’ve ever been to the country, you’ll know that the number of temples and shrines feels infinite, and in Shadows, it’s well represented with some of the most iconic structures in the Kansai region.

Purpose of Temples & Shrines
With each of the temples and shrines, there will either be lost pages that need collecting or shrines that need to be prayed to. Doing so will unlock a good amount of EXP along with a Knowledge point that can be used to upgrade Nao and Yasuke. Some of these locations have surprisingly well-hidden collectibles, but with this guide you’ll have no problem finding them.
The Tenryuji Temple is found in the Yamashiro region of Japan. It is located west of Kyoto.
The Tenryuji Temple is in a hostile territory, so stealth or combat will be required to obtain these items.
Lost Page Locations
Lost Page #1
Because the Tenryuji Temple is a hostel area, you’ll need to either proceed with caution or kill everyone that approaches you. Regardless of what you do, it’s best to stay on the rooftops as this is where the first Lost Page is located. Head towards the main building of the Tenryuji Temple, which’s closest to the small pond in the back. Jump across a small tree branch with your grappling hook to find the Lost Page sitting on a couple of planks of wood on the roof.
Lost Page #2
From the last Lost Page, look to the north. Jump across to the next building and then look towards the large tower. You’ll need to swing across and climb up the tower. The Lost Page is located at the front under the wooden contraption on the ledge looking into the building. This is on the west part of the tower.
Lost Page #3
The final Lost Page is a little easier to get, but puts you more in danger as it’s the only one that’s on ground level. Head all the way west to the pond and look at the rock in the middle of the water. There will be the Lost Page lying on the rock. Be cautious of the patrols around the south wall. The hostiles in the north shouldn’t look in your direction.
