It looks like Microsoft could be teasing something major for the upcoming Xbox Game Show which could be Fable according to a recent tweet.
Rumour: Fable Reboot Reveal at Xbox Games Showcase
A mysterious short clip has appeared on the official Xbox Twitter which has led fans to speculate something magical is afoot. The video shows an Xbox controller covered in glitter. Then the camera follows a trailer of a nightmarish amount of sparkly dust across the room (that will be in everything for months). Leading up to a desk which shows theXbox Game Showcaselogo. It teases that it “seems important”. The music also sounds awfully familiar, reminiscent of the original Fable soundtrack.

Will We See a Fable Reveal at the Xbox Game Showcase?
So why has this stirred up a rumour that it’s hinting at Fable? In the past games of the series, players were given a trail of glitter to follow to reach their destination for a mission. A reboot is currently in development under Forza Horizon developer Playground Games. As the first reveal was a couple of years ago it would be great if saw an update on this at this year’s. We have yet to see any gameplay as development was early on when it was revealed.
What We Know So Far
Previously thereboot was announced in 2020during the Xbox Games Showcase. Not much was revealed apart from a comedic teaser featuring a fairy soaring through a magical forest only to be gobbled up by a large toad. The comical trailer ignited excitement for the reboot of the game but we’ve seen little else since.
A fewrumourshere are there have been flying about the Fable reboot. Such as that while the game won’t be an MMO, it would have online elements. Other details have been shared that the game will be an action RPG with co-op gameplay. Take this with a pinch of salt (or glitter), as nothing has been announced officially by either the publisher or developer.

What was confirmed by Xbox Head Phil Spencer in 2021 was that the Fable is in “amazing” hands . He has every “confidence” that Playgrounds Games will deliver. This year’s showcase would be a great time to get an update on the game.
We’ll have to wait until the Xbox Game Showcase on June 11th which should have plenty of news and announcements. So far aStarfield Directhas been confirmed so at least we have that to look forward too.
