Capcom have announced the release of the free DLC Ghost Survivors for Resident Evil 2 which will release on February 15th.
Resident Evil 2’s Free Ghost Survivors DLC Releases on February 15th
Ghost Survivors takes players into three scenarios based around the characters you meet in RE2’s main campaign. In a post on thePlaystation BlogCapcom outlines the mode as similar to the extraThe 4th SurvivorandTofu Survivormodes, however this time you aren’t playing as The Hunk or Hunk of Tofu but take on the role of three Raccoon City characters.
In the new DLC players will be able to pick up new equipment to take on the zombie apocalypse. These items won’t be found laying around but can be attained from fighting backpack zombies or looting vending machines.
You can also purchase the ’98 Costumes for Claire and Leon, also available on February 15th from the PlayStation Store which will now be available internationally.

Ghost Survivors Campaigns
In the campaign “No Time to Mourn” you will be playing as Robert Kendo, the owner of the Gun Shop Kendo which you will have come across in Raccoon City. After receiving word from a friend who owns their own helicopter, Kendo will need to gather up plenty of weapons before fighting his way through Racoon City. The catch however is the newly added poisonous zombie type.
In the story “Runaway” you take on the role of Katherine Warren, the mayor of Raccoon City’s daughter. The streets are littered with “a strangely mutated type of zombie that can only be stopped with particular powerful ammunition”.
The third campaign “Forgotten Soldier” will allow you to play the role of USS agent Ghost. This campaign is not for the faint of heart and as Capcom puts it “This especially challenging scenario will put even The 4th Survivor veterans to the test”.
TheGhost Survivors DLCbrings new achievements and more “fun new challenges”. Upon completion you will be able to unlock character accessories which include “a tiger mask, a cuddly raccoon that sits on your characters head, and more”.
