During Sony’s State of Play presentation on June 4, Capcom shared a new trailer forPragmata. The video revealed some of the gameplay and story elements and allowed the company to announce the game’s release is now planned for 2026.
Beyond Earth in a Futuristic Setting
Originally announced in 2020, Pragmata is a brand-new sci-fi action adventure IP thatCapcomoriginally planned to release back in 2022, but it has been delayed multiple times after the initial tease. In the game, players assume the rule of Hugh, a spacefarer aboard a lunar research station. Though the place seems to be lifeless, he meets an android called Diana and the two set off together so that our protagonist may go back to Earth.
Review: Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny
Capcom’s retro hack-and-slash adventure Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny returns in a crisp new remaster.
There are many obstacles and enemies for the two to deal with, however. One of the big issues will be dealing with robotic threats controlled by the AI in the station, which is acting hostile towards them. While our character may use weapons and his own strength to beat them down, there should be other approaches to dealing with them, as indicated in the new “First Contact” trailer.

The new trailer starts with a video that’s similar to a commercial for in-game company Delphi Corporation. The video reveals that they seem to be involved with the creation of highly intelligent AI that will be important in the story. Something has gone wrong, though, and the player will end up having to deal with the aftermath of the situation.
One Player Must Control Two Characters at the Same Time
The unique element to Pragmata’s action is Diana’s powers of hacking. She can use her skills with other machines to manipulate their behaviors, making it easier to deal with them, and help the protagonist move through the areas of the facility. We get to see a bit of this in the gameplay segments of the new trailer, which show her not only talking to Hugh, but also giving him direct support, often sticking with him over his shoulders.
There is, however, a catch: as the player explores and faces the threats, it’ll be necessary to control both characters. As such, using the hack will be a strategic asset to keep in mind and combat may demand proper control of both of their personal skills to deal with difficult situations.

Pragmata is being developed as a single-player experience, meaning that there’ll only be one player handling both at the same time. Coordinating their actions promises to be a tricky and uncommon aspect of this new project by Capcom.
Originally announced in 2020, Pragmata is a brand-new sci-fi action adventure IP that Capcom originally planned to release back in 2022, but it has been delayed multiple times after the initial tease.

Planned as a brand-new IP, Pragmata is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) in 2026, but the company has yet to reveal a more specific launch window. The PlayStation 5digital store pageis already open for wishlisting.
Along with the new trailer, Capcom revealed that the game will include full support for multiple languages, including English, Spanish (and Latin American Spanish), Italian, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Traditional Chinese and Korean. There will also be subtitles in Polish, Arabic and Simplified Chinese, but no voice acting for those.
