At the Playstation Meeting today, which saw the unveiling of the PS4 Slim and the high powered 4K PS4 Pro, we were given a fresh look at gameplay fromMass Effect: Andromedarunning on the new PS4 Pro hardware, confirming some teased murmurs on social media.
The content shown was brief but gives us a look at the slick visuals the new entry in the Mass Effect franchise will feature. The footage started with the protagonistRyder, in this playthrough a male, making his way with hiscompanionsacross a mysterious high tech world.

Ryder made his way across the world using a jetpack to boost from platform to platform. Upon encountering a new specimen of flora, Ryder could scan the lifeform for information. Up ahead, a group of creatures referred to as Remnants floated by, with the party using caution to avoid detection.
The party progressed to the center of what they called the vault and activated a terminal which displayed a map of theHelius Clusterwhich marked a variety of points on the map which they referred to as potential othervaults, making it likely that vault hunting will be an element of the game. After the reveal, trouble ensues with the party fleeing the vault.

It’s been quiet on the gameplay front this year for Mass Effect: Andromeda until now, and despite having only the briefest of looks, we can begin with the speculation. Mass Effect: Andromeda continues the events of the franchise much further into its future and is set to release in early 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Thoughts on how the new gameplay is shaping up?
