The NBA 2K series on PC is finally getting the next-generation treatment withNBA 2K25. The latest entry will finally have feature parity between Xbox Series S|X, PS5, and PC, even though it’s also coming to last-generation consoles and the Nintendo Switch. With the Steam page, we also have our first look at the technical side, including the official NBA 2K25 System Requirements.
NBA 2K25 System Requirements
Even though NBA 2K25 isn’t particularly demanding, compared to NBA 2K24, there is a considerable jump in the requirements. If you’re looking to play the title at higher settings, you’ll need something like an RTX 2070 with 8 GB of VRAM, paired with a Ryzen 5 3600. The developers haven’t shared the target resolution or framerate, but we’re expecting these to be the requirements for 1080p and 60 FPS.
On the lower end, even a GTX 960 with 4 GB of VRAM can handle NBA 2K25, but at lower settings. Apart from that, you need a total of 150 GB of free space to install the game. An SSD is required no matter what settings you play at. These updated requirements are certainly due to the feature parity with consoles this time around. Finally, DirectX 12 is required, which means older GPUs with DirectX 11 feature levels are not supported.

NBA 2K25 on PC
You can now pre-order NBA 2K25 onPC through Steam.
It’s great that the PC version is finally going to have “next-generation” features, but sadly, when it comes tocrossplay, andcross-generation, there’s still a lot of work to be done on 2K’s end. Overall, this isn’t a very demanding title, and we hope it performs well on launch, unlike its previous entry.
