Hideo Kojimahas shared a photo showing him editing a trailer for one of his three announced games:Death Stranding 2 for PS5, O.D. for Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Physint (also for Sony).
Kojima Working on a New Trailer
The post comes four days after insider NateTheHate—who previously leaked the Switch 2 presentation date—claimed that Sony would hold a State of Play this month. It remains unknown whether Death Stranding 2, set to release in 2025 for PS5, will appear at the event if it takes place.
The head of Kojima Productions posted a photo of a monitor running the Adobe Premiere Pro editing software, with only the iconic “A Hideo Kojima Game” visible on the screen.

Although he doesn’t specify which game the trailer is for, the reposted message accompanying the image suggests it’s the Death Stranding sequel. It references the fact that exactly a year has passed since he last edited a trailer—specifically, the Death Stranding 2 trailer for the State of Play in February 2024.

“It’s been a year since the last time I sat at the editing desk,” Kojima wrote in Japanese (translation via Google). “I’ve been busy and couldn’t start the editing process, so I spent time walking and flying on planes while listening to the songs I was considering—probably about 100 times on my Walkman—mentally ‘editing in the air’ to match them with the footage. However, when I put it into the editing machine, it didn’t turn out as I had imagined.”
The Other Two Games Kojima Productions Is Working On
Death Stranding 2 was announced in December 2022 at The Game Awards, with an initial trailer over four minutes long. The latest promotional video more than doubled that length.
However, Kojima Productions has two other announced projects in development. One is O.D., a horror game published by Xbox Game Studios Publishing, designed to be played via the cloud. The other is Physint, a new action-stealth adventure published by Sony, in which Kojima aims to return to the genre he pioneered with Metal Gear Solid.
