In anticipation of the Server Slam event on May 12, you’re able to preload Diablo 4 two days early, allowing you plenty of time to download the necessary files and play the game on day one rather than sitting down for hours and waiting for everything to process. If you participated in Diablo 4’s March Open Beta event, you might already have the game downloaded. If that’s the case, head to the game’s page in your respective launcher or store page and update the game during the May 10 preload period.
In most regions, aside from Germany for its rating requirements, you will not need Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus to participate in Diablo 4’s Server Slam event. However, some multiplayer features in the game require these subscriptions, so be prepared to look into these if you want to experience all of Diablo 4.
