Hypogeum Enigma Event Puzzle Overview and Mechanics
Below is a breakdown of the Hypogeum Enigma event mechanics:
Each Puzzle Trial features two difficulty modes
Every puzzle challenge is separated into two difficulties: Shallow Hypogeum and Deep Hypogeum. The Shallow Hypogeum is the easy and regular difficulty mode, whereas the Deep Hypogeum is the hard and challenging mode of the puzzle trial.After finishing the Shallow Hypogeum, the Deep Hypogeum will become available.
Each Puzzle Trial includes two or three puzzle stages
The first two puzzle challenges, Prophecy Tablet and Golden Scapegoat, consist of three puzzle stages: three Shallow and three Deep. The third and fourth puzzle trial, Hand of Zagreus, and Oronyx’s Miracle, features two Shallow and two Deep puzzle stages.
These puzzle challenges will also be included in version 3.0 Trailblaze Missions. If you haven’t started or finished the main story yet, becoming familiar with the puzzles will help you solve them faster while exploring Amorpheus.
Complete all Puzzle Trials to unlock rewards and a free four-star character
Solving all puzzle trials rewards you with various items, including Stellar Jades, Traveler’s Guides, Refine Aethers, Lost Crystals, and Credits.In addition, you may select one of four 4-star units: Guinafen, Hanya, Tingyun, or Hook.
How to Unlock the Hypogeum Enigma Event
For this event, you are required to finish the Hero, Bear Thy Coreflame Trailblaze Mission first, which is part of the Heroic Saga of Flame-Chase Trailblaze Mission series in Honkai: Star Rail.
Gain access early by Finality’s Vision
If you are a beginner or have recently started playing Honkai: Star Rail, you can still take part in this event by choosing the Finality Vision option.You will be able to skip all prerequisites and mission conditions for this event and finish it during the event duration. To use this bypass option, you must be Trailblaze Level 21 or higher.
Speak to Damionis at Ohkema city 1F
Look for Damionis on the first floor of the Eternal Holy City of Okhema.After a few dialogues, you may now start the Hypogeum Enigma puzzle event.
Bypassing the required mission to participate in this event will not spoil the main story for you.
Hypogeum Enigma Event Puzzle Trials and Stages
Below are the playable puzzle trials in this version 3.0 event, including a breakdown of each puzzle trial’s mechanics, difficulty modes and stages.
Puzzle Trial 1: Prophecy Tablet
This first puzzle trial centers on placing and assembling shape fragments to form a target image.It has three standard stages (Shallow Stages) as well as three challenging puzzles (Deep Stages).
Puzzle Trial 2: Golden Scapegoat
The second puzzle trial involves inputting the correct commands to move the Golden Scapegoat towards the altar and light it.This puzzle challenge also has three standard stages and three challenging puzzles.
Puzzle Trial 3: Hand of Zagreus
The third puzzle trial focuses on controlling the Hand of Zagreus and collecting a specified number of Coins of Whimsy per stage.For stages, it has two standard stages and two challenging stages.
Puzzle Trial 4: Oronyx’s Miracle
The fourth and final puzzle is a maze challenge where you utilize the Tome of Miracles to switch time and restore bridges.Similar to the third puzzle, this puzzle challenge also has two standard stages and two challenging stages.
Puzzle Trial 1: Prophecy Table Solutions
Below are the solutions for the first puzzle trial. This covers both Shallow stages (Normal Mode) and Deep stages (Hard Mode) of the Prophecy Table puzzle challenge.
If you are stuck on a puzzle for an extended amount of time, a clue button will emerge to help you. Click the hint button and then select the puzzle component for which you require assistance.
Prophecy Tablet Shallow Hypogeum 1 Solution (Normal Mode)
Start the first normal stage by picking the large square and placing it in the central outlined area.Then, pick the triangles and place them in the covered center area as well. One triangle is in the top area and the other triangle in the bottom area.
Prophecy Tablet Shallow Hypogeum 2 Solution (Normal Mode)
In the second normal stage, place the small right triangle on the outer left outlined area. Similarly, put the small left triangle on the outer right outlined area.Get the two remaining large triangles from the bottom and fill in the open spots on the inner left and right outlined areas.
Prophecy Tablet Shallow Hypogeum 3 Solution (Normal Mode)
For the third normal stage, put all the fragments to form a box on the outlined square.Place the lower left triangle on the left side. Then, the lower right triangle on the right side. After that, place the upper left triangle on the top side and the upper right triangle on the bottom side of the square.
Prophecy Tablet Deep Hypogeum 4 Solution (Hard Mode)
To clear the fourth hard stage, choose the large diamond fragment and place it in the center, covering the outlined area consisting of three small diamonds.Pick the small lower left diamond and move it to the west corner of the diamond. Then, move the small lower right diamond to the east corner of the diamond.
Prophecy Tablet Deep Hypogeum 5 Solution (Hard Mode)
The fifth hard stage can be started by moving the diamond and putting it on the left or right side of the outlined area.Then, get the two small triangles above and place them on the opposite side to form another diamond shape. Select the lower left and lower right triangles and make them form a square inside the outlined area.
Prophecy Tablet Deep Hypogeum 6 Solution (Hard Mode)
Finish the sixth and last stage by selecting the large diamond and placing it in the middle of the outlined area.Move the first small diamond over the larger diamond and place it on the top. Then, pick the second small diamond and place it on the bottom. Lastly, transfer the third and final small diamond in the center to solve this puzzle.
Puzzle Trial 2: Golden Scapegoat Solutions
Below are the solutions for the second puzzle trial. This covers both Shallow stages (Normal Mode) and Deep stages (Hard Mode) of the Golden Scapegoat puzzle challenge.
Be careful of moving the Golden Scapegoat across the platforms because it might fall off or hit the avatar of darkness by accident.
Golden Scapegoat Shallow Hypogeum 1 Solution (Normal Mode)
Begin the first normal stage by inputting the following commands: Right, Right, and Right.After that, your past self will emerge and keep moving east. Let your past self land on the yellow button and drop to approach the altar.
Golden Scapegoat Shallow Hypogeum 2 Solution (Normal Mode)
For the second normal stage, follow the commands: Right, Right, Right, and Left.On your last command, you will land on the yellow button and summon the avatar of darkness simultaneously. From that point, go left and drop to the lowest platform and keep going right to reach the altar.
Golden Scapegoat Shallow Hypogeum 3 Solution (Normal Mode)
In the third normal stage, input the commands: Left, Left, Left, and Left.Once your past self appears, move right and take the ladder to go upwards. Keep moving right until you fall on the unlocked bridge and move right next to the altar.
Golden Scapegoat Deep Hypogeum 4 Solution (Hard Mode)
To clear the fourth hard stage, input the following commands: Left, Left, Right, Right, and Right.The Golden Scapegoat will drop on the yellow button and the avatar of darkness will show up. From the button, continue moving left to reach the altar.
Golden Scapegoat Deep Hypogeum 5 Solution (Hard Mode)
Input the commands: Left, Right, Right, Right, Left, Right, to finish the fifth hard stage.After the initial commands, move the Golden Scapegoat to the east corner of the platform and keep moving left and right again until the avatar of darkness lands on the yellow button. This will make the Golden Scapegoat fall on the lower platform afterwards. Keep moving left to reach the altar.
Golden Scapegoat Deep Hypogeum 6 Solution (Hard Mode)
Finish the sixth and last stage by inputting the commands: Right, Right, Down, Left, Left, Left, and Left.After that, move right again and go up and down the ladder. Once your past self lands on the yellow button, go east and drop to the altar.
Puzzle Trial 3: Hand of Zagreus Solutions
Below are the solutions for the third puzzle trial. This covers both Shallow stages (Normal Mode) and Deep stages (Hard Mode) of the Hand of Zagreus puzzle challenge.
There are also Coins of Whimsy spread around the world of Amphoreus. Collecting at least one coin will unlock the Death of Metaphysics achievement.
Hand of Zagreus Shallow Hypogeum 1 Solution (Normal Mode)
Start the first Shallow stage by collecting 5 Coins of Whimsy.Just follow the corridor path and get all the coins.
Hand of Zagreus Shallow Hypogeum 2 Solution (Normal Mode)
In the second Shallow stage, you must gather 45 Coins of Whimsy from the room. Begin with coins near the stairs.Then, take the coins close to the stacks of huge blue cubes that form a circle.After that, turn left and approach a wall made of coins. Finally, get the remaining coins circling around in front of the pillars.
Hand of Zagreus Shallow Hypogeum 3 Solution (Hard Mode)
To complete the third Deep stage, you must collect 35 Coins of Whimsy. Start off with the coins on the circular platforms. Then, approach the group of coins that are moving in circles in front of door entrances.After that, monitor the direction of the moving coins in line and look for a location where they will collide with you.
Hand of Zagreus Deep Hypogeum 4 Solution (Hard Mode)
Similar to the second Shallow stage, the fourth and final Deep stage requires 45 Coins of Whimsy to complete. Start by smashing the enormous crate in front of you, and the coins will be spread throughout the room. Look for the bunch of coins near the statues and collect them first. Then, get the coins floating near the three door entrances again.For the final few coins, follow the direction of the moving coins and find a location where they can meet you.
Puzzle Trial 4: Oronyx’s Miracle Solutions
Below are the solutions for the fourth and final puzzle trial. This covers both Shallow stages (Normal Mode) and Deep stages (Hard Mode) of the Oronyx’s Miracle puzzle challenge.
Use just one Tome of Miracles or Miracle Orb at a time. Take the time to observe the changes in your surroundings before taking the next action, especially during the harder stages. Otherwise, you’ll be confused and forced to restart the puzzle again.
Oronyx’s Miracle Shallow Hypogeum 1 Solution (Normal Mode)
Begin the first Shallow stage by switching the Tome of Miracles to Dawn and destroying the pillar in front of you. Continue moving forward and switch to Evernight this time.After that, use the Oronyx’s Prayer to restore the bridge in front of you.Keep going and reach the entrance door to finish the puzzle stage.
Oronyx’s Miracle Shallow Hypogeum 2 Solution (Normal Mode)
Start the second Shallow stage by using the Tome of Miracles and switching to Dawn. Cross the platform in front of you and reach the center.Examine the Miracle Orb and reveal the three wooden crates on your right.Make your way back to the Tome of Miracles and change to Evernight. After that, use the newly unlocked path of the Miracle Orb and reach the chest.
Oronyx’s Miracle Shallow Hypogeum 3 Solution (Hard Mode)
Use the Tome of Miracles in front of you to start the third Deep stage. After changing to Dawn, a pathway will be restored leading to the Miracle Orb.Examine the Miracle Orb and move the trajectory to the left to remove the blocking crates.After that, make your way towards the chest to complete the stage.
Oronyx’s Miracle Deep Hypogeum 4 Solution (Hard Mode)
To finish the fourth and final Deep stage, set the room to Dawn first by using the nearby Tome of Miracles. Go east and check the first chest inside the unlocked room.
Proceed west and approach the first Miracle Orb. Examine it and target the large cube nearby. Head straight towards the second Miracle Orb and highlight another large cube blocking the upper pathway.Head back to the first Miracle Orb again and adjust the trajectory to the east. This will make the second chest appear.
Hit the flying boar to gain a speed boost while solving the final puzzle.
After opening the second chest, approach the third Miracle Orb near to it. Activate it, and it will make the third chest become visible.Go back to the first Miracle Orb and highlight the large cube again. Return to the second Miracle Orb and adjust it to the left to make the third chest pathway fully passable.Follow the newly unlocked path and approach the third and last chest. This will make you clear the final puzzle stage!
Hypogeum Enigma Event Character Rewards
After finishing the four puzzle trials, you’re able to choose a 4-star character to get for free.You can choose between Guinafen, Hanya, Tingyun, and Hook.
Select one free character even if you have all the characters at E6 or max dupes. Don’t overlook this reward, because you may still get 20 Undying Starlights and exchange them for one free pull at the Starlight Exchange store.
