God of Warcelebrated its two year anniversary yesterday and since its launch, it quickly became one of PlayStation 4’s most beloved games. Players around the world embraced Kratos and his son Atreus on their epic journey as they encountered monsters and gods of the Norse world. Many characters were met as the two wandered the realms that included the likes of Baldur, Sindri and Brok (Huldra Brothers), and Mimir but one of the most captivating characters inGod of Waris Freya, also known as The Witch of the Woods or Frigg and she’s certainly a firm favorite with cosplayers, particularly due to her outstanding attire.
Ibelinn is a talented cosplayer from Norway who over the years has worn many faces. In recent times she has taken on the persona of the likes ofTomb Raider’s Lara Croft, Aloy fromHorizon Zero Dawn, Jaina Proudmoore fromWorld of Warcraftand Death Maiden fromDiablo 3but personally, it’s her goddessFreyacosplay fromGod of Warthat makes her stand out from the rest. It’s easy to notice that throughout Ibelinn’s many cosplay adventures, she puts in some incredible work into the very finest details and this couldn’t be more apparent in her Freya attire. If you have played the game, you would know that Freya has a beautiful wardrobe of clothes that shows her deep magic power and the years of living in the forest all alone.
Ibelinn mimics this style beautifully combining a mixture of leather and silks all made and assembled by her own fair hands. Of course, crafting something as intricate as Freya’s outfit takes time so Ibelinn spent the vast majority of three months sewing, 3D modeling, printing, and producing all the leatherwork to perfect her look. Freya’s sword and shield are also designed and made my Ibelinn, taking pictures of her progress of each item a long the way. Following some new changes surfacing on the PlayStation website, we saw that the U.S. version of the official PlayStation website no longer contains the “Only On Playstation” forGod of War. This, of course, could mean many different things but as we have seen of late Sony is clearly intending to bring more of its first-party published titles to PC, even if it doesn’t meanGod of Warat this time.
