Square Enix will continue to develop new content for their JRPG,Final Fantasy XVin 2018. The news was announced by Director ‘Hajime Tabata’ during an Active Time Report live-stream at the2017 Tokyo Game Show.
Final Fantasy XV- To 2018 & Beyond?
Originally, the upcomingDLC"Episode Ignis" was planned to be the final piece of content for the game, concluding itsstory. However, that plan has been shuffled due to strong responses from fans of the game, according to Tabata.
The team will continue developing new content forFinal Fantasy XVthat will expand on the games lore and further enrich it. The new goal for this continued development is to patch up plot holes in the story and culminate in a proper conclusion.
“Not only are we further investigating characters through additional episodes, if we don’t convey the setting that is the foundation of the world, we won’t be able to convey the characters’ way of life.”
Tabata said during the stream.
Final Fantasy XVis currently available on the PS4 and Xbox One.
