There’s nothing more exciting than taking down a big bad monster, but doing so can be difficult inMonster Hunter Wilds. That’s why we have various mushrooms and herbs to help with survival. With the Exciteshroom, it offers a unique way of retreating from a fight without having to worry about a giant monster on your trail, and a means of exhausting a monster’s ability to throw out attacks. TheExciteshroomisn’t something to be passed on.

What are Exciteshrooms?
An Exciteshroom is an exceedingly rare crafting item found in the world of Monster Hunter Wilds. The main purpose is to be used in various crafting recipes.
With Exciteshrooms, you’re able to craft three separate items at a camp. For starters, by combining theSmokenutwith the Exciteshroom, you will get aFarcasterwhich will summon a wingdrake to quickly take you out of combat and to a nearby camp. This ensures you don’t have to run away to initiate a teleport so you may restock on items.
The second portion of Exciteshroom allows you to create aLuring PodwithBitterbug Broth. This slinger ammo lures monsters towards you with ease. Finally, if you’re a Bowgun user, combining Exciteshrooms with Normal Ammo will createExhaust Ammowhich drains a monster’s stamina. All have their uses, with the latter definitely being very helpful if you can utilize them.
Where to Find Exciteshrooms
Scarlet Forest
Being a mushroom, it’s no surprise that the Exciteshroom can be found in the Scarlet Forest. Surprisingly, in zones 7 and 8, a location where there’s a bevy of mushrooms to be found, there’s only two Exciteshroom to be found. One is located near the 8 on the map, and the other is locatedsouthwest of the 7. Moving outward,zone 6has one upon entering the area from the southwest, with the final one being in the northernmost area ofzone 10. Only four instances of it here, which is surprising considering how plentiful the wildlife is.
Ruins of Wyveria
As one can imagine, being that this is a pretty rare crafting item, it’s found in very few spots, and the final area certainly has a few of them. There are three Exciteshrooms in the Ruins, with the first being on the second level. This is found right in the middle of the map, just south and north of a portable camp. These two can be a bit tricky to spot given how much clutter there is on-screen. The next two are found on the third level. The first can be found just east of thezone 10 marker, with the other one being on the opposite of the map west of thezone 8 indicator.
