Zenimax have announced the next Elder Scrolls Online DLC Harrowstorm joins PC this February.
Elder Scrolls Online Harrowstorm DLC & Update 25 Launches February
The DLC that will begin the year long journey of theDark Heart of Skyrim, Harrowstorm DLC will release onFebruary 24th for PC/Mac and March 10th for Xbox One and Playstation 4. This DLC will contain two new dungeons Icereach and Unhallowed Grave. This also introduces some new performance improvements with Update 25 as well as everyone will need to redownload the the game client. Read on for more details.
Harrowstorm Features
This next update is a free base-game patch for all ESO players. This one contains performance improvements, new features, fixes and balance changes. This is the big one, meaning that patching is getting a major overhaul. This will not only change how the game is patched and stored but will also help to reduce the size of ESO on your hard drive. As warned before, this means you will need tore-download the game clientwhen Update 25 hits. Zenimax are rewarding players with a free Crimson Torchbug after you update.
Performance Improvements
Update 25 will bring some framerate improvements for all platforms. These include major changes to effects manager and addition of multi-threading. Some of these plans have been outlined by Zenimax previously and this is only the first steps for framerate.
The northern part of Skyrim, across the Sea of Ghosts is the island of Icereach. An isolate land that is inhabited by witches of the Icereach Coven. A terrible storm is brewing across the North of Skyrim, taking with it the longships and the lives of the Nords.
Players come to Icereach for two reasons. To investigate the mysterious storms plaguing the Sea of Ghosts and to find a lost expedition.

Adventurers who come across this island will meet a coven of defenders who have taken the lost party members, but some still remain alive. Among these is Lyris Titanborn, returning from the main ESO questline, one of the 5 companions. You must together explore the wretched isle, discover the root of the storm and put an end to the damage it inflicts.
Icereach is more than just dangerous witches, there are savage cultists, frost beasts and much more lurks here. Be prepared to witness some terrible magic as the witches possess some power. From snow and ice to fire, electricity and even the undead. Magic here is by no means punishable, so be on your toes as there will be plenty of zombies and giants to fend against.
While boss encounters are just as ruthless as most ESO DLC dungeons, Icereach Coven sisters don’t travel alone. Each can bring a unique ally to help defend their land, featuring unique mechanics that must be learnt to succeed.
There are different interactions with each sister and her ally. Some of those interactions are complementary, while some, such as Sister Hiti and Skelga, are actually in competition. Using the powers of Hiti and Skelga against each other is key to defeating the encounter.
If you’re made it to the end of dungeon, be prepared to face all the Icereach sisters together, including the head of the coven Mother Ciannait.
New Gear and Collectibles
As you put yourself in harms way, there must be some justifiable rewards in completing the Icereach Coven and you’d be right. Those who make the trek to this perilous place will be rewarded with new collectibles and items that can’t be find elsewhere in Tamriel. Zenimax are adding four new gear sets which includes a new monster set (head and shoulders), plus collectibles such as style pages, dyes, furnishings and more.
An example of these new sets is Titanborn Strength which presents players with medium armor that increases your effectiveness with physical weapons and strengthens your attacks. Undoubtedly inspired by Lyris herself and you will definitely look the part in this Nordic outfit.
Proving your mettle in Veteran difficulty will grant you Lyris' Icereach Battle Axe outfit style.
