Elden Ring is off to a great start launch wise with recent figures approaching 280,000 units sold in Japan alone on Playstation 4 and Playstation 5, as well as reaching over 800,000 active players on Steam.
Elden Ring Smashes Milestones With Almost 280,000 Units Sold on Playstation in Japan Alone
FromSoftware has plenty to celebrate as their latest souls title Elden Ring has made some great strides when it comes to sales. In Japan alone, the title is now approaching 280,000 units sold on Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 according to the figures posted by Famitsu.
The numbers on Steam are even more staggering with the concurrent record now standing at just over 891,000 concurrent players according to SteamDB.
Playstation 4 has reportedly sold 188,490 copies on Playstation 4, while Playstation 5 reached 90,017 copies. Together that puts Elden Ring at 278,507 units sold between the two platforms. This is already a great number and does not include Xbox or PC sales.
On top of that, thereviewsfor Elden Ring have been overally positive. Steam getting 80% positive reviews and is the top seller overall on the platform.
The top 10 selling titles in Japan have Elden Ring taking both 1st and 2nd place when it comes to units sold, with the PS4 version coming first and the PS5 version of Elden Ring coming in second. The third on the list goes toPokemon Legends Arceuson Switch with over 60,000 units sold.
