One of the few locations inElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreeyou can access early on, but is easy to miss,Rauh’s Baseholds important equipment, but most importantly, the most northern piece of the map. This was one of the last locations we found only because of how tucked away the entrance to it is, but players may find their way stumbling upon it thanks to a nicely-placed item at its entrance.
North of Moorth Ruins
First you will need to locate a small pond just north ofMoorth Ruins. These ruins are directly east ofCastle Ensis. This can be accessed through either progressing through the castle, or if you don’t want to engage a boss fight, there’s a longer route.

Getting to Moorth Ruins
From the start of the expansion, head north to theAbandoned Ailing Villageand make a 180. Go under the bridge and down into the stream. Head south as much as possible until you get to land where you will be met with two giant trolls fighting soldiers. Head down into a poison swamp and continue east until you hit aSpiritspring, which can be unlocked by destroying the small blockage nearby. Jump up intoFort Reprimandand progress north. You will witness a full platoon of soldiers fighting an undead dragon, but instead of engaging, continue north until you hit theMoorth Ruinsand eventually the pond.
Through the Swamp
Grab theScadutree Fragmenton the altar, and progress behind it to find yourself in another poisonous swamp. Simply head west until you reachRauh’s Base. Here, you’re able to either go north to findTaylew’s Ruined Forgeor down west toTemple Town Ruins, which holds valuable items, including a talisman that increases the power of two-handed attacks. In addition, at the very end of the path, if you continue north from here, is theScorpion River Catacombs, which has a boss that drops a powerful great axe and theCerulean Amber Medallion +3.
