If anyone were to shy away from the infamous Area 51 of Twitter – the place that contains the thirstiest tweets made out to celebrities – it would be the ever-graceful, well-mannered, not a hair out of place, and always gentlemanly Henry Cavill. Or so one would think. ABuzzFeedvideo from 4 years ago now serves to remind the general population why there is more to Cavill than what meets the eye. In one of the most comical compilations served to the Superman actor – the apparent internet “daddy” in turn manages to smirk and laugh away even the most thirsty tweets out there saying,“I’ve read worse…”

Henry Cavill Reacts toBuzzFeed‘s Thirst Tweet Compilations

BuzzFeed‘s thirst tweet compilations are a genre of scandalous delicacy and they’ve been getting increasingly more entertaining by the year. As people grow bolder, the videos that encompass the most NSFW thoughts compiled in one place and made for celebrities to read out loud serve as a gentle yet fascinating reminder of why the human brain truly is an enigma of unchecked impulses.

Under all the layers of put-together cultured sophistication that he exudes, theMan of Steelstar has had years of training and self-contained expertise in what the internet has had to say about him over the years and to anyone who would listen. In one particular visit to theBuzzFeedHQ, Cavill reads one of the thirst tweets from a fan claiming,“Can I just say it Henry Cavill can f**king destroy me like legit he can Superman this hoe,”to which he answers with a polite smile,“That’s very kind of you. I appreciate your vigor but um, don’t hurt yourself. Be careful out there.”

The latter part of that reply, however, is comically delivered in the form of a rebuke and with a deep and baritone admonishing voice that otherwise usually comes from a greatly perturbed elder who is concerned for the safety and well-being of their wild and reckless children.

The Internet’s Obsession With Henry Cavill: 2013-Present

The gatekeeping of Henry Cavill has never been a thing for the global audience because of his rise in popular culture as 2013’s Superman. Since then, the love for the star has only ever been on the rise as more of his mannerisms, idiosyncracies, and unabashed “nerdy” passion for epic high-fantasy literature and gaming became a thing of public knowledge.

The years, however, have not been kind to the British actor. Soon to be 40 this May, Henry Cavill seems to have finally found his footing in the industry after a tumultuous decade filled with raucous career highs and destructive studio-ending lows. His partnership with Amazon Studios, a wonderful romance with Natalie Viscuso, and a multi-year deal producing and starring in his passion project –Warhammer 40,000– have put him in a comforting space away from the troubles and dramas of Warner Bros. and Netflix and the people couldn’t be any happier for him.
