Destiny Mobile Very Soon
After the release ofDestiny 2: The Final Shapelast June and significant layoffs at Bungie, the future of the Destiny franchise is currently uncertain, though in August, they said they would clarify soon.
In the last few hours, it appears that the immediate future of Destiny is the launch of a mobile version, developed in collaboration with the Chinese company NetEase. This was already leaked in the summer of 2022, but now it seems to be close to becoming a reality.

This Is What Destiny on Mobile Will Be Like
The Destiny Bulletinaccount on Threads published a link to a news article stating that Bungie and NetEase were developing a game calledDestiny Rising.Following this, Jeff Grubb, a journalist from Giant Bomb who has often demonstrated having good sources within the industry, responded to the post, saying that the game does indeed exist and that more information could be coming very soon. “Yes, this is real,” Grubb wrote. “Not many people from Bungie are working on it. It could be announced soon.”

When another user asked if he knew much about the game, Grubb responded, “It will be Destiny on mobile devices, but with many changes. Hero characters instead of creating your own character, for example.”
The existence of a Destiny mobile game was first leaked in 2022, following a report by The Game Post. Citing a source allegedly familiar with NetEase’s development plans, the website claimed that Bungie and NetEase had been working on a new Destiny game for over two years at that time, meaning it has now been in development for more than four years.

Before Sony acquired Bungie, NetEase invested $100 million to become a minority shareholder in the developer in 2018. At that time, the Destiny studio said the deal would help it “explore new directions” and “build new worlds.”
