“Now, more than ever, we’re committed to bringing unique, entertaining stories about all things DC to our fans. The first-ever DC All Access all-day live stream event is a thank you to our fans for their support.”
While we don’t know exactly what to expect from the DC All Access live stream, we can assume that much of the day will be filled with interviews fromcomic book artists, writers, people from the channel and things of that sort. However, a recent rumor suggests that this event could be something that fans of theDC Extended Universemovies may definitely want to tune in for. Even if it winds up being a very small part of the eight-hour event, there is some reason to believe that some big announcements will be coming during the course of the live stream at some point.

Last week, a post that made its way onto Reddit (via 4chan), contained a leak of a bunch of rumors and supposed information for the future of the DCEU. There was a rumored shortlist of directors forMan of Steel 2, which consisted ofJ.J. AbramsandEdgar Wright, as well as new dates for several movies, likeSuicide Squad 2andBen Affleck’s soloBatmanmovie. There were also new movies on the list, like aNew Godsmovie being directed byGeorge Miller, and a suggestion thatAlfonso Cuaronwas in talks to direct theGreen Lantern Corpsmovie.
So why does any of that matter? Well, according to that leak, Warner Bros. was supposed to be making announcements as far as casting and other details for many of these upcoming movies sometime in “early September.” Granted, this leak should be taken with a grain of salt, but if it is at all true, that “early September” bit definitely lines up very well with the DC All Access live stream. So, while certainly not concrete, don’t be at all surprised if we get a few bombshells dropped on Sept. 2.

The DC All Access Live stream will be hosted by the usual DC All Access team, which includesTiffany SmithandJason Inman. The live stream will start at 9 a.m. pacific time on the DC Entertainment YouTube channel, and will last until 5 p.m. The event should serve as a very nice bit of fan service, but hardcoreDC fanswill definitely want to tune in because there is a chance that we will be getting some major news as well. So be sure to clear your calendars, everyone.
