What will happen to Kim Wexler? This is one of the most burning questions every fan ofBetter Call Saulhas had as the sixth and final season has started airing on AMC. From the start, there had been questions about what would happen with Kim because she’s nowhere to be seen inBreaking Bad. As a prequel, this has many fans concerned Kim won’t be making it past season 6 alive, especially after the recent death of another major character.

Speaking about the series onJimmy Kimmel Live, Kim actressRhea Seehornbriefly touched on her character’s ultimate fate. For her part, she has been just as much in the dark as the fans up until she got the script revealing her character’s final scenes. Perhaps not surprisingly, the writing team has kept their plans mostly shrouded in mystery until the time came to get the scripts sent out for filming to start. That always left Seehorn anxious to get that next script, especially heading into the final season.

Better Call Saul

“No. We get our scripts one at a time. We are not told… every turn that we’ve taken in the show, even knowing if your character is going to continue to be in the show for those of us who are not in Breaking Bad, you’re finding that out a script at a time.”

Kimmel had asked Seehorn if she now knows what “happens to Kim.” When Seehorn confirmed that she does, Kimmel pressed her for more details, wondering what this thing was exactly that might “happen” to the attorney in these final episodes. Seehorn could only say that Kim doesn’t just vanish into thin air, meaning that there is some kind of resolution for the character, but it’s too hard to say what that might be.

“Well, she doesn’t evaporate. So, there is story that will be told. I’m not going to tell you!”

Better Call Saul Probably Won’t Have the Happiest of Endings

Breaking Badfans will know not to expect the happiest ending forBetter Call Saul. It seems that most fan favorite characters meet some kind of unfortunate fate. There are manyBetter Call Saulcharacters who will go on to meet these fates onBreaking Bad, while what ultimately happens with Jimmy McGill, who’s now going by Gene Takavic in Omaha, still has yet to be revealed.

Ahead of season 6, Rhea Seehorn offered a subtle hint about what fans can expect in the final season with one word:“Devastating.“This could be taken in a number of ways, as to whether she’s referring to what happens to her Kim Wexler character, or if it’s just a “devastating” conclusion to the overall story, such as what becomes of Saul Goodman. In any case, it’s not going to be all sunshine and roses heading up to the series finale, but that is probably evident to the fans who just watched the first three episodes of season 6.
