Bethesdawill host a newESO Direct,an event where it will unveil the future ofThe Elder Scrolls Online, its long-runningMMORPGoriginally released in 2014.
A Year of Change for The Elder Scrolls Online in 2025
This live stream will be available on Twitch channel, and during the event, the company will reveal the key updates and changes coming toThe Elder Scrolls Online, which is set to undergo a major transformation. Instead of a single large annual update, the game will now receive new content every few months.
The game is preparing for a new era of content with a more flexible and dynamic model. Since 2017, updates have followed a fixed annual schedule, but this format has limited the studio’s ability to innovate. Starting in 2025,TESOwill adopt a seasonal model, with updates arriving every three to six months. This shift will allow for greater creative freedom and an improved player experience.

The changes will bring new zones, dungeons, events, and cosmetic items, as well as experimental features that could shape the game’s long-term future. Some of the upcoming improvements include:
More Stories, New Ways to Tell Them
While the update format is changing,TESO’score narrative focus will remain intact. The team aims to expand Tamriel’s world with extended story arcs, the evolution of well-known characters, and new faction-based narratives featuring iconic groups like the Dark Brotherhood and the Mages Guild. Additionally, existing zones will receive progressive expansions.
TheESO Directon April 10 will reveal the first season of this new era, so don’t miss it to find out everything coming toThe Elder Scrolls Onlinein 2025!
