The best Vocations for your Pawns inDragon’s Dogma 2are much different than the best Vocation for you, the Arisen. Let the vanguard be mine as I help you decide what the best Pawn Vocation is for your party.

What are the best Pawn Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

After creating your Pawn, you’ll need topick a Vocation. You and your Pawn’s Vocations can be changedlater, but regardless, it’s good to know what the best Vocations are for Pawns.

Pawns can’t be any of theAdvanced Vocations. This limits them toFighter, Thief, Archer, Mage, Warrior, or Sorcerer. In my experience, here are the Vocations that work best for Pawns:

How To Pick Best Pawn Vocation In Dragon’s Dogma 2

Mage is the best Vocation for Pawns simplybecause of the Heal spell, Anodyne.Healingis a constant worry in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and the Mage’s golden bubble healing spell allows you and all your party members to recover health fast. Mages will alsogive your weapons elemental damagewhich is necessary to defeat some enemies.

The second best Vocation for Pawns isWarrior. In my opinion, Warrior ishard to play because it’s slow. However, Warriors candeal extremely high damage. That’s why Pawns make great Warriors — it’s a Vocation you likely won’t want to play but a Vocation you absolutely want since it is the best tank class.

Best Vocation Party Composition Dragon’s Dogma 2

Fighter and Sorcerer are the next best options for Pawns.Fighters embrace some of Mage’s support capabilities and Sorcerers embrace some of Warrior’s high damage capabilities. They are both exceptional; I recommend having a Fighter or Sorcerer in your fourth Pawn slot.

Archer and Thief are the worst classes for Pawns to be becausethey aren’t as usefulas Mages, Warriors, Fighters, and Sorcerers. Archer and Thief are great classes that have the potential to deal a lot of damage, but they’re bothweak and too situational. These two Vocations make for better Arisen Vocations than Pawn Vocations.
