The last trial room you’ll probably find yourself in during the Gauntlet of Shar is the Silent Library. The solution to the puzzle that can silence the Nightsong in Baldur’s Gate 3 isa book hidden in the library called ‘Teachings of Loss: The Nightsinger’. Unlike theFaith-LeaporSoft-Step Trial, the Silent Library may take a while to complete.
When you first enter this room, a group of enemies greets you. The only catch is thatthere is a Silence spell throughout the entire room, and you won’t be able to cast spells. Once you take down all the enemies, the spell will lift, and you may proceed with any spells you like.

Locked behind a metal gate is the next part of the room. This has a very high DC of 21, so make sure you have a lot of lockpicks. Break through, and you’ll find a pedestal asking the question, ‘What can silence the Nightsong?’ The book‘Teachings of Loss: The Nightsinger’ is on a bookshelf on the northern wall.
