Baldur’s Gate 3: What To Do With The Addled Frog
The Addled Frog is a unique encounter many players may not notice or know how to deal with in Baldur’s Gate 3; here’s what to do.
This is a fairly simple magic item that is great to equip as an early-game weapon for any strength-based class, such as Barbarian orFighter. It also provides a benefit for these classes to help further boost their capabilities.

Let’s break down where you’re able to locate this simple wooden weapon in Baldur’s Gate 3, so you can finally learn what it is like to have the strength of a giant.
Where to find the Club of Hill Giant Strength in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Club of Hill Giant Strength is hidden deep within the Underdark in Chapter One of Baldur’s Gate 3. To obtain this weapon, you will first need to learn how to get into the Underdark.
There aremultiple pathways into the Underdarkin Baldur’s Gate 3. you’re able to access this area through the Blighted Village, the Zhentarim Hideout, the Goblin Camp, and the Sunlit Wetlands.

Baldur’s Gate 3: How To Save Zariel’s Asset
In BG3, Mizora will ask you to save Zariel’s asset from the Mind Flayer Colony. Here’s how you’re able to do that.
I recommend taking the path via Priestess Guts' chamber in the Goblin Camp, as this will lead you to the Selunite Outpost – the access point to where the Club of Hill Giant Strength is located.

Once you are in the Underdark, make your way over to the Arcane Tower, which is found in the lower left-hand corner of the map. Once you are there, you will need to solve the Arcane Tower puzzle and make your way to the fourth floorvia the central elevator.
If you have not done so yet, you will need to deal with Bernard at the top of the tower. Once that is done, you check the small covered area to the left of the door to find a stool called the Stool of Hill Giant Strength. Before you ask, no, you cannot wield the stool as a weapon; we’ve tried.

Go over to the stool and choose to attack it. You can also choose to throw the stool as a means of breaking it as well. When the stool breaks, you will notice that one of the legs stays behind. This is the Club of Hill Giant Strength.
Baldur’s Gate 3: What To Do With The Rats In The Gauntlet Of Shar
While inside the Gauntlet of Shar in BG3, you will learn there is a serious rat problem. Here’s what to do with them.
Club of Hill Giant Strength Stats
The game tells you that the Club of Hill Giant Strength is “a rotting chair leg.” Despite it not looking like much, “every splinter vibrates with barely-contained power.” As such, the weapon has the following stats:
Classification
1d4 +Strength Modifier.
Typical damage is 5-8.
Splinters of Might:
Increases strength to 19.
Club, Light
The Club of Hill Giant Strength is a one-handed weapon that doesn’t deal much damage in the later game, but can be great for characters at the beginning of the game. With the damage capping out at around 5-9, it is easy to see how other weapons can overpower it later on.
With the Club of Hill Giant Strength granting you a 19 strength score, it should technically be called the Club of Ogre Strength, as Hill Giants have 21 strength, not 19.

Still, the bonus to your strength is useful for increasing your jump distance, lifting objects, and more. I recommend grabbing this weapon if you are playing as a fighter orbarbarian,as these classes tend to make the most use of the weapon.
It is also best to dual-wield this weapon, as only using one weapon won’t result in much damage output.
